We are now officially homeowners. Yes, we've been living in this house for over two years but it was still in Trent's dad's name. Trent grew up in this house, and his dad still owned it. We were paying all of the bills, taxes, insurance, etc...we were just paying his dad. Finally, after all of the hard work and money we've put into this house, we now actually have a piece of paper saying that Trent owns it! It's about time.
My name isn't on it yet, but we're just going to add it when we get married so we don't have to go through the name change process. So technically it's only Trent's house right now. Haha. Tomorrow Trent is stopping by the insurance office to get the insurance under our names, too (both of our names) :). I'm excited that we are one step closer to being independent home owners.
Next step....getting the foundation fixed. It's a big one...
