I found this quote about "The little things in life" the other day:
“The small things of life were often so much bigger than the great things . . . the trivial pleasure like cooking, one's home, little poems especially sad ones, solitary walks, funny things seen and overheard.”
― Barbara Pym
We've been living in our house for almost 2 and a half years now, and we've made so many memories. We've done so many renovation projects already in the time that we've been here. But it always seems to be the little things that we remember the most.
Like hauling our mattress home for the first time in November of 2010. I met Trent in the cities and drove my car home while he hauled the mattress with the truck and trailer in front of me....
And then sleeping on our living room floor on it...
And when we bought our first iron (I think it's safe to say I was in love)...
And of course all of Saleen's hiding spots, like under our bed...
And under the chair in the living room...Anywhere as long as she doesn't have to go back into the back room. :) See the following video for example. This was just last week:
She is too funny.
It's great living in our house together and renovating etc., but I think we all need to take some time to remember those little, day to day things in life that you tend to take for granted. Just a random thought for the day!
